If you haven’t yet noticed, I’m a huge proponent of integrating trends with good, old-fashioned, timeless style. What, then, is good, old-fashioned, timeless style? Well, in my painfully humble opinion, it’s all about structuring good lines and balancing neutrals with pops of color.
This, my devoted readers, is the second installment of the “sheinside.com is having a sale on blazers, so let’s write about blazers” blazers post. This fall, blazers will be most likely replacing, or more modestly, rising in popularity to the moto jacket of the last few seasons. You’ve a few options here:
- a boxier, more relaxed boyfriend blazer–typically with cropped or pre-rolled sleeves for a pushed-up casual look–quite possibly the “trendiest” version
- a classic blazer, with new details–contrasting trim and lapel, for instance:
- a cropped-body and cropped- or pushed-up-sleeve number–the best to work in an unexpected pop of color and play with lines, lapel optional:
- or a highly tailored trim jacket, likely with pleats or peplum:
All are good. I rarely say this, but rght now, all are good. Over the next couple weeks, I’ll be sharing multiple ways, moods, and occasions to wear blazers–from a sex-kittened look for date night, to a Grace-Kelly-meets-a-woodland-creature whimsical vintage look, to an even trendier preppy high-collared getup. All that to say this: sheinside.com is still having their sale! Also, why don’t they pay me?
Never mind that (for now, sheinside.com). I want you, my devoted readers, to look positively smashing, and so go ye and abuse that sale for all it’s worth. Don’t expect Amazon Prime-style shipping, but it’s an excellent little online boutique for the money.
