Speakin’ in tongues.

So, I’ve got an itch for languages. Always have. Even fancy myself a bit good at them, or at least I did, until I tried to explain my head cold in Paris. But I’ve come across a dilemma.. I’ve got Rosetta Stone full of Mandarin, Arabic, and Spanish. I’ve started each of them, but obviously can’t keep up with all of them.. especially while I’m trying to learn Legal (Do they have RS for that?). I’ve got reasons for all of them..

Spanish: Duh. No need for an explanation.
Arabic: Always had a thing for the script, ridiculously beautiful. I know the alphabet, can write it all and stuff, but the grammar is ridiculous. I hated gender for nouns in French; that didn’t make sense. But gender for the dual verb conjugation? Ugh. Either way, we’re definitely a bit messy in the Middle East, and let’s just say that Trials at Nuremberg is my favorite legal movie. I see myself prosecuting Karl Rove in Fallujah, mumbling an aside in Afghan dialect.
Mandarin: In the words of a mediocre character on a mediocre sitcom, it’s “their century”. I’ve got horrible pronunciation, but whatever. I picked it up thinking it would be a benefit business-wise down the line, but good mama, it’s hard and weird and totally not natural for me. But then when I go back to the Chinese market I can call them out for dissing my outfit. I KNOW THAT’S WHAT YOU’RE SAYING, LADIES.

So, poll! Ooooh, so many firsts. First vlog, first poll.. What’s next? First.. Pillsbury sponsorship did you say? “And today I’m making a great recipe with Pillsbury’s crescent rolls which are a great substi..” Ooh, maybe not.

Whatchyou think?
